Boost Gauge Install question

I have seen several different methods for installing the boost gauge my question is if i go with the drill/tap method does it matter what side of the y pipe i put it on ? I have seen pictures with it on either side .

I don't think it's really important, one side will tell you what the turbo is producing, the other what the engine's receiving from that (with the IC in between you could have leaks that wouldn't reflect in the "at turbo" placement as well)

I opted for the no drilling and tapping method and did the intake heater delete mod and put it there
