F550 questions

I currently have a 2009 F550 4x4 141"wb. I love the truck but I hating the 6mpg that the 6.4 is giving me, I am also starting to really lose faith in the truck. It has never let me down but when it regens every 40 miles I know it is coming. I also have a 2002 QCSB and LOVE it. My question is what besides the motor and trans are the differences in a F550 with a 7.3 vs a 6.4. The 6.4 will out turn any vehicle on the road my 7.3 sucks do all F550s turn tight or just the newer ones? I cannot imagine the difference being too extreme, but as the 6.4 was my first Ford I really do not know. I only got the 7.3 in Feb so I am still learning.

all of the '05+ trucks turn sharper than the previous leaf sprung front end trucks. their axles are wider.

Delete the DPF on your truck and get a spartan tuner or something of the likes your truck will make a lot more power, use less fuel and also stop regenerating. Also with an F550 I'm guessing your rear end gear might be the 4.56, that will not help MPG much either at highway speeds.

We have a 550 @ work w/ 4.88 gears, fuel mileage isn't bad though

Maybe put a little bit bigger tires on it?

My 2000 F550 don't like to make u turns to good either
And with 4.88 gears and stock 225/70/19.5s I'm tacking out at
2500 rpm 65mph. Not good on fuel either running at 10-12 mpg
Just did the AIH delete this morning and going to do the EOT mod for
More injection timing since I running 6speed
I only drive 55mph these days

uh yeah dump the dpf run some real exhaust, spartan tunes and that 6.4 will get ALOT better mileage plus run longer
