brake warning light in dash

when you turn the key on all the indicator lights like abs wait to start seat belt etc come on ..

now my brake light in the dash is not working If i put the parking brake on it lights up but when i go to accessory it doesn't cycle like it is supposed to

I know most people wouldn't care or bother fixing it but mto here will fine you for that when you get checked roadside or at weight scales


any ideas where to start looking for this or has anyone encountered this issue

oh and it looks like there are 2 brake warning indicators in my dash one on the left that comes on with parking brake and it looks like there is one by the 4x4 also under the abs one ???
