Smile Happy with fuel mileage

I just installed the Napa filter system and deleted my Cat and muffler with
a straight pipe. The fuel mileage jumped from 13.5 or at best 14 to 19.8
just drivng at 60 to 70 mph. Mine is a 4+4 and didn't think I could even get close to that. Nice increase for not a lot of cash. Has anyone else had this
good fortune???? By the way the new sound didn't hurt either!!!!! The only other mod is the 1705 on the tow safe mode and keeping my foot out of it.

Awesome! I guess I really haven't paid much attention with my mods adding any mileage. I get about 16-18 on average the best being 19 before I put the 285's on. Did you have a california psd?

As near as the vin reads it was built in Kentucky and sold new in Mo. I am the second owner. I wanted to see if the straight exhaust would help the mileage before I spent the cash for the 4".I guess the bigger is in the future HA!!!! I am running Stanadyne as my additive and seems to work well. I'm kinda interested in what it will do pulling my 7,000lb travel trailer. I haven't had the chance to give it a try yet.
