Oil/Coolant temps

What Temps are you people seeing when you working your trucks?

My Oil temps were hitting about 220 on the freeway at 70, pulling a 22ft Lund Baron. Trans temps stayed at 145. I figure the boat, not counting the tandem axle trailer weighs in at about 3300#'s.

I do have one of those screens over the radiator to keep the bugs out of the fins. Could this be restircting air flow to much?

I had just gotten off the free way on an exit ramp after running at 60mph.

I tried it without the bug screen on the front of my grill. I didnt see any change in temps.

Buhler? Anyone have an idea?

What was your ambient air temp? I don't know enough about autos to comment (6-speed here), but I believe your EOTs are a-ok. From what I've read, EOTs tend to run about 20* above coolant temps. Hopefully others will chime in here.

Ambient air would have been in the mid 80's.
