Boost/EGT? and Tunes for new turbo

Hey y'all,
I got 2 questions. While driving in my DD tune from tw, at wot my egt's go through the roof! So at first I thought a boost leak, tighened and cleaned the clamps and boots but I didn't make a boost leak detector yet. I got to thinkin though that the 38r wastegate comes set to 20 psi, so am I bleeding off to early for the tune? usually makes 23 psi at wot.
Next question, I never got my chip retuned for my new turbo or my term modded pump, will tuning them for those make a noticeable difference or a waste of time?

Thanks in advance.

Tighten up the waste-gate for sure, you could use more flow up top. The ball bearing center section will take a lot of abuse (drive pressure) compared to the stocker. You should not have to have a re-burn unless you are having trouble at a high RMP with floating the poppets because the tune is calling for to much ICP.
