1st CA Emissions Inspection Today... Total Scam

Govt. Shakedown in full effect... You can see the vehicle I have in my sig. Seriously, this was easy money for the inspection station. My vehicle calls for "one" requirement. I believe it's the PCV return line..? Anyhow, that's it. And I left my programmer in a "tuned" setting... So, if you haven't done this, don't be nervous. Especially, 7.3 owners. I have a feeling the 6.0's and up have more hoops to jump through...

Yep - A good way for CA to collect $$. I 'donated' last month. The testing on diesels have nothing to do with emissions. My truck passed.

LOL... yah its all about just making money for them... i dont see why they even included 7.3L diesel trucks in that mix... they should have started with the 6.0L and above

or better yet 08+ since they are the trucks that were designed with DPF's

^^ I'd agree with that. Anything before the DPF is just checking for how much it smokes, which they expect it to do...some.

The inspector did rev the engine and look up to see if the cloud of death had arisen... LoLz. Luckily that was fine. Now, I feel totally confident about progressing w/ the TW buy from Stealth. I have to stop dragging on that one.

I'm moving from California to Kentucky in a couple months. Does Kentucky do emisions checks or is there anything special I should know about? I have an 08' f350 that i'm going to sell and buy an 02' that i'm looking at. My wife has an 01' any help would be awsome!
