20mm freeze plug delete

I just wanted to get with everyone and make sure I did this correct. Here are some pics, I just drilled out the rivets on the flapper and pulled the piece out the hole. Took my dremal and cleaned everything up and used it to round out the opening where the plug goes to help get her started. Overall pretty easy to do and hopefully will get the 50 degree less egt's I have read about.

I had to file down the plug a little bit to make it fit... Wouldn't go at all. Took me a bit bit I eventually drove it home with a socket/hammer/smashed fingers.

I would say yes, but it's not easy to tell. More watching the road than the gauge when getting that hot... but I haven't seen over 1200* in a while.

Cool Outlet

Boy I hate to see all the work you have to go through to end up with 1/2 fix. I know the hole is 2.7" and theres such a big differance changing up to the 4". I read an artical about somebodys hot new turbo and they gave the spec's on what it would do and then installed it with the stock housing.
