I have a 99e and need help picking a intercooler it needs help this heat it get. To the ect and I'm getting 10mpg so if anyone knows something don't be afraid to say it any input would be awesome thank you

For the intercooler, alot of folks opt to upgrade to one out of a 6.0L. You'd need to do some shopping around.
As to your mileage, change your fluids, and check your filters. Beyond that, how do you drive it, and what modifications have you done? |

was wanting to upgrade to after market for later, im gonna be pushing 60psi
but witch one is the best? and i was gonna put a afe blade runner, cuz the early 99 has a smaller y pipe, and do beans intake runners, there like 2" instead or 3" or bigger I have an early 99 7.3 i have gotton 10-11 mpg the last 10- or more fill ups i have some DTC's P0238- turbo/super charger boost A (tc/sbc-a) ckt P1249- Wastegate control valve performance P0603- Internal control module keep alive memory (kam) error P0478- Exhaust pressure (ep) control valve high P0470- Exhaust pressure A ckt P1211- Injector control pressure higher/lower then desired (engine running) MODS AFE STage 2 i think its a 3.5 Down pipe to 4" sct DP tuned it seems like any tuner i use bad mpg i had hyper tech, and sct tunes, when i first got it i was getting 18 with a ATS CHIP on the back of the computer , it went down slowly every time i filled up and i have some 33" mud grapplers with 20s 2" lift 4 door short bed... |

talk to a reputable diesel performance shop. you will want to match your airflow and psi to the intercooler. too much air or boost one way or the other and youll see zero to negative effects.

thats a lot of DTCs. I assume your air filter is clean. I'm wondering if your turbo isnt making good boost.

I get 25-27 PSI with the small early 99 turbo.... and i have a clean air and fuel filters
