Grey smoke

My truck has always blown black smoke when under acceleration with the chip in performance tune, In stock tune never any smoke. On Friday when coming up to the river towing a boat I was in a 60hp tune all temps were good, I do have a scan gauge that's programmed to show coolant temp and it was showing warmer than what its usually at, it was showing 190-200f usually in the 170-180 range. It was 110f when towing around 2500 uphill when i got on it to pass someone and that's when I saw the grayish/black smoke. When it cooled back to the 180 range and when I got on it again it was blacker smoke again.

Anything I should be concerned about?

Truck has 94k on it
