Power Locks and Windows
I hate starting new threads. But after I search for 20 minutes and get anything but what I'm looking for then I give up. My electric door locks are weak. 4 door Crew Cab. Actually one doesn't work and two are weak and one works OK. Anyone know the price and can they be repaired or just replaced. As well, I have one window that will go down but not up. So, you want to know how I got it up? One day after being down for a long time and while it was raining and in January no less it rolled up. Of course, I pushed the up button. So, does that maybe say that the motor is OK? Or not necessarily so? Is this a bit more involved to troubleshoot than the door locks? Anyone have experience? TIA.

The dealer can fix your door locks for $100 per door, or you can buy the door lock actuators for $50 per door from the dealer. There are cheaper places to get them. Or you can take the original actuator apart and rig it together.
Sounds like either your window switch or window motor is going bad. Check for power at the window motor. There's only two wires, they reverse polarity when the switch is pressed in the opposite direction. |
