in getting ready to buy new boots for my E99 intercooler. and i need to know what size to get?
i'm getting the kit through a non vender here their options are 1. 3"x3" 2. 3.25"x3" ????? anyone got anything? |

Got mine from Riffraff. Mine were 3.25x3, but Clay said Ford changed things enough times it could be either. I used my calipers that I use for reloading to measure the O.D. of the actual inlet and outlet of the intercooler. Measure both, the O.D.'s of these will be the same as the I.D. of the boots.

I looked far and wide, researched, talked to experts, and then ordered the wrong kit for my E99. Then I bought the right one's from RiffRaff. They're the only place that makes an aftermarket kit for an E99, plus they're lower priced. Everything is the same between the E99 and the 99½-2003, except the boots from the bottom of the spyder to the intake plenum. The E99 is smaller than the later years.
