EBPV question??
I am planning on pulling the plug on my EBPV and was wondering if there are any codes that may be thrown by this?? Any other downsides to this? Also does the terminal need to be capped?

The only person I know of that has done this is Vital Idle. Shoot him a pm and he can probablly answer your questions.
Although I don't think removing the ebpv will cause any codes to be thrown. |

Yep throws a soft code. It won't trip the cel light but will be stored in the pcm. No harm to the truck, but yeah I would at least fill the plug with dielectric grease to keep the crap out. I unplugged mine before I gutted the whole valve because it was sticking closed on me.

Thanks for that. No real need for quicker warm up here in South Florida

Im way up North and yes the warmup times are probobly halved with the valve working, but it was driving me insane! Just have to wear my long underwears in the winter!
Well worth the time to gut or unplug especially with you being in Florida

Mine has been out since Early April...No codes. I did the WG delete and EBPV delete at the same time...super easy and no more crappy hiss while I'm cruisin' down the road....and no more blockage in the Exhaust tract!!!
