My buddy has a 2001 7.3 and we are planning to replace the serpentine belt. He has the dual alternator. Anyone have a step by step. I just finished mine on 6.0. Need the routing and any tips that anyone has gained.
No trick to it really. Just use a 1/2" breaker bar on the tensioner pulley to take the stress off, and remove the belt.
There should be a diagram on the sticker under the hood of how it is routed. There should be two pics, one with single alt, and one with dual alt. routing.
All done.. Real fast. Done before I could finish by beer. 5 min tops.
