From the beginning......

I just bought a 1999 F250 PS crewcab with a automatic and 185000 miles on it. I have only had it for about a week now. According to the car fax it has never been wrecked. I have not figured out if it has just a leveling kit or a 2 or 4 inch lift. It does have 35 under it, and they do not rub. Very little to no smoke. Starts good. There are a couple cosmetic things that I will be getting fixed with time. So far nothing big that I see that is wrong or not running right.

So my question is, where do I start with improving it? I will be using it to pull a 30 foot camp trailer off and on. Rather then that it will be my daily driver. I would like it to have lots of power on the low end and high end.

Love seeing those other 's out there, taking off from stop lights, or on the freeway like a rocket. Also tired of all the little rice grinders screaming around.

Well I'm sure there will be questions, so guess that is it for now.

Welcome to the site first off, and congrats on the buy. As for the mods there are some cheap simple mods that you can do that will help tremendously. I would start by getting a 4" straight pipe exhaust, or at least straight pipe your stock exhaust. When i straight piped mine it was a HUGE difference. Sounds better spools up better etc. Then I would get an intake. A lot of people do a DIY intake with the Napa 6637 filter. You can get the filter at Napa for about 50 bucks or you can order it online for about 30 or so. From there i would get some gauges, Pyrometer (Exhaust Gas Temperatures) Boost, and Trans temp. Then you can get a tuner, I just installed my DP Tuner and it is an AMAZING difference. If you are going to be doing a lot of towing I would suggest some trans mods. You can do a 6.0 trans cooler, and maybe a BTS VB or even a BTS trans if you really want to get into it. Mods of those mods should hold you over for awhile until you decide you want injectors, big oil, different turbo etc. Hope I helped some. I am sure more will chime in with better responses. Have fun with the truck though, you will love it. Good luck.
