torbo removal

I'm changing the up pipes and have the turbo out. I was wondering if I have to do anything to the turbo, like clean it or what not. Form the exhaust side it looks like there is a lot of build up. Any suggestions?? I know about the o rings but what about everything else, all the pipes and everything that is in oil?? Can I use break cleaner to clean everything? Or just some soap and water? I have been looking for a write up of what all I should do while I have it apart, but most are instructions on removal and no details what should be done while it's all apart. Thanks for you help. 2002 f250, 175k.
