MBRP Performance Series.. Bolt on Hangers?

I am ready for exhaust and am eyeing the MBRP Performance series 4" straight pipe. Done alot of research on the forum but still have 1 question. What is the quality like of the bolt on hangers, has anyone had issues with these? Is it better to spend the extra 100$ on the installer series which has welded on hangers?

Also who has the best price? I am thinking of going through Performance Truck Product.

I have the bolt on hangers on my truck and they work fine. Actually made it a little easier to maneuver the exhaust around when I was installing it. They are pretty heavy duty, not like the typical cheap ones that come in some kits.

I can't remember where I bought my MBRP exhaust from, either Performance Truck Products or Auto Anything... i think...

Are you installing this yourself or taking it somewhere?

They do a good job, but the surface rust on mine make them look like crap. I should have bombed them black before I put my exhaust on.

I will be doing the install myself, with a buddy or two. Anyone else have issues with the surface rust? I realize the aluminized isnt supposed stay as clean looking as the stainless, but if its just going to start looking like my rusted out stock system then thats no good.

Anyone have pics of exhaust painted black?

Sorry, my reply could be interpreted wrong. Since your question is about the hanger, my reply is about the hanger. The surface rust is only on my hangers! not on the exhuast.

Excellent, thanks for the clarification! Makes sense to paint the hangers if rust is an issue. Hope to order my system in the next day or two! Ill keep you posted on the install

My Diamond eye had clamp/hangers if that's the same as the MBRP I'm not sure, but they worked great especially since I installed it all myself.

Sprayed my exhaust with the high temp black stove paint, still looks good!

Hell I didnt paint mine and it still looks great. Just dirty as to be expected.
