Yes the PSD has forged internals from 99-01, a few 01s and a 02s have forged but most 02-03 7.3 are PMR.

PMR VS FORGED... ( the write up )

Good read on it.

Rule of thumb PMRs are good to 400rwhp, forged are good to 500rwhp. I have PMRs in my truck which limits how much power I can make...which honestly is most likely a good thing. Above 500rwhp you something like Cunningham Rods..PSD are not like CTD rods which can support up over 900+rwhp.

no i meant stock power in general, i mean its gotta play some roll doesnt it? like i know the PMR internals in a stock vw 1.8t wont last like the forged internals in a vw vr6. i have a cummins, im just lookin for a pstroke, and i found a 99 with forged internals. probably gonna do a DRW to SRW conversion.

x2.

There are guys into the 600k+ range with the PMR's, I wouldn't let them deter me a bit if I wasn't planning on hot rodding it.
