Rear axle info

Just bought an f350, the rear 10.5 sterling needs pinion bearings at least, makes a racket. I prefer to upgrade rather then repair so I'm looking at options.. such as the stout 14 bolt rear end from a chev or a 60 from a dodge. My question is, which if either would match the ford bolt pattern.
How wide is the sterling rear, I'd measure mine but it's not delivered yet.
Any info is good info.

i would not do either you could ether build the 10.5 up with a locker and it will be stroger then the 14 bolt pos cevy rear end and stronger than dodge rear end. if you want to upgrade go to a dana 80 witch is a ford rear end thats what i did i have a dana 80 with Detroit locker. the bolt pattern on Chevy and dodge are different than fords, chevy and dodge are 8 on 8.5 fords are 8 on 170mm or something like tht. if i were you i would just get the 10.5 rebuilt with locker and all the goodies unless you can find a dana 80 for a good price.

IF CAPS ARE ON IM AT WORK I CANT TAKE THEM OFF
