PCM Code help

OK so i am getting ready to order my DP Tuner today. I went to get the PCM code for them and i took the 10MM bolt off of the plug and took it out and there was no tag. So i took the two 7MM bolts out of the cab to pull the PCM out because i was told that the code is also on there. Well the damn this is stuck and no matter how much i wiggle or pull on it it will not come out. So i went back to the gray plug to check it again and i noticed with more light that there is some stuff written on it with black sharpie but i cannot make it out. Looks like there are 11 or II i am not sure. Any ideas on where to go from here? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The pcm code should be on the GVWR sticker on the door as well, or just call ford with your vin. Otherwise, It is printed on a sticker and affixed to the grey plug on the PCM. Sometimes it is also on a smaller sticker over the data port as well. Figure out how to remove the PCM, you should do it anyway in order to clean the circuit board the chip engages. Good luck.

Where on the GVRW tag is the PCM Code? Any ideas on why the PCM would be hanging up? It is completely loose i can move it around and everything it just won't release into the engine bay.

lol-that's because it doesn't fit through the engine bay. You have to take it out from under the dashboard!

are you trying to remove it with the plastic cage attached? That's what I did. If it's not hung up on the e-brake assembly, and if the plug is OUT of the front (in the engine bay) Just give it a manly tug, but pull it straight out so as not to damage the connector.

Thanks for the replies. I got it out, i ended up just taking the metal bracket out and it all came out in one piece. Now i get to order my DP Tuner!
