Can you modify the front spring mounts to lower the truck?

Strange question, but after a front end collision, the repair shop had an issue with one of the front springs settling lower than the other. Substantially lower. They fixed the problem pretty quickly. I'm unsure what they did, however I know they used the same spring and just adjusted it.

Can the springs slide in the mounts to where they will appear lower?? Are there alternative locations for the mounts that would drop the truck?

I am not sure about different mounting positions, usually there is only one.
But if they used the same spring they probably either cut it or heated it up.
