fan noise and rattle

I have a pretty loud rattle coming from the engine that almost sounds like a gas motor detonating. The sound is always there and goes up and down with the rpm. Any ideas what this could be?

Another noise that just started is a loud fan noise. Usually does it first start in the morning, and then random other times. Fan clutch bad?
