cummins swap

even though ive said it a couple of times i think the ol truck is down for the count this time, knockin real bad and ive already but in 3x as much money as that trucks worth to keep it on the road so this time i think its gonna have to go but i was thinking about potentially putting a cummins in. i dont know much about it and first off i need to know what motor fits, its it all of them line up pretty much the same or a certain one? i need a site that sells them outright and maybe a junkyard estimate. just a thought and i need yall input.

From what I understand a 12v is the easiest swap as it doesn't have any electrics, and the motor fits, but the amount of money to do a good conversion will be really expensive. Custom fabbed parts and labor to install, test, fit, and refit everything will probably cost a lot more than just buying a Ram with a Cummins in it. I know, the Dodge really IS that bad and it is unfortunate a Cummins was put into that junker, but the conversions are pretty pricey from what I've read. Think between 10-15k to do it right.
