Suspension Question
so a friend of mine has an early 99 and he says he has F450 front springs and F350 rear springs....is that similar to "X" code springs? i was thinking about doing the same thing to my truck. or maybe just F350 front springs with F350 rears. i now have a 6 in lift on my truck, but can i just bolt the 350 or 450 leaf springs up? i know i will need a different block in the rear and a pitman arm. but what else is needed?

X-Codes are 6,000lb springs...
I'm pretty sure the 450 springs are 5,600lb springs.... but I may be wrong. I would htink they would work, as long as you can adjust your track bar. Keep in mind I am guessing. |

i will have to take at his truck in better detail and see what all i need. next question is where can i find the X code springs besides the dealership?

Codes..look at the door sticker, with X codes you should get longer shocks and a adj track bar to recenter the axle. Thats it.
