'03 7.3 w/ 5spd auto?
Did the 7.3 get married up to the 'torque-shift' 5 spd auto in '03 before the 6.0 started getting built? I have a 97 with the E4OD and I thought all the Superduty 7.3 autos had the 4R100. Reason I ask is that I saw one advertised today - a 2003 7.3L w/ 5 spd torque-shift auto. I have driven a couple of 6.0s with that tranny and it seems real good. If this was really a factory combo, when did that combo first get offered?
Thanks, Chris |

the 7.3 has never had a torqshift behind it. The 03's had 4R100's behind them if they were a 7.3 and a torqshift if they were a 6.0

ive heard rumors that someone had it done...but ive never seen proof. No...u cant just bolt one up, you would have to have a module to controll it as well. It is extremely electronic.

I believe that they made a 7.3L with a tqshift for the south american market.
