Well I pulled the trigger, he came and picked it up Wednesday. Turns out he is a retired Ford heavy truck mechanic, worked from 1969-2003 at the same dealer. Now he has his own shop and machine shop. I'll bump this back up soon as I get the truck back and some miles on it.

On a side note, he has a mid 90's OBS 7.3 that he towed my truck back with (700 miles). Running of 20% Diesel, 80% used engine oil.

Well, he has pulled my engine (dusted #8, previous owner thought the turbo sounded cool with no air filter) and installed one of his rebuilt engines. Flying down Saturday to pick it up and drive it back home 650 miles. Will update again in a week or so after I put some miles on it.

Picked the truck up Saturday, 1000+/- miles on it so far, running great, so far so good. Rebuilt turbo, couple new injectors, Ford AIS intake intake was also installed by him.

Drove it from Melborne FL (he even met me at the airport with my truck, and his wife followed him to save me 2+ hours driving), to Dawsonville GA (to get a new set of tires: MILITARYOFFROADTIRES.NET - We're declaring war on high tire prices! GREAT GUY HIGHLY RECOMMEND ), and then back home to Jemison AL.

Had a small amount of oil in the coolant reservoir when i picked it up (he put 200 +/- miles on it for testing/leaks/etc.), and it hasn't gotten any worse. I'm almost positive it is from assembly.

Going to flush the coolant this weekend and change the oil. Pretty sure its broken in now. Running great though really.

Will update again after some more miles.
