Interior light

okay this light is about to piss me off. The door adjar light is staying on and so is the interior light. What do I need to do? I think it is the passenger door but I am not for sure. Where do I need to start loooking, I have never had a problem like this on ay of my vehicles

Start at the switch on that door. quick lesson a switch is nothing more than a fancy break in a wire..ie wen hte door is closed hte switch contacts are open wen hte door is opened the switch contacts are made (make contact), curent flows lite comes on.. close door swt. opens no contact lite goes out.. this is a good start place... OK now un plug hte switch this causes an open and no lite if its the swt. if lite stays on repeat for ohter door......... If all awitches are good the curcit has a ground after the lite and door ajr swt. Good luck finding htis<<<<<<<<<< BILL>>>>>>>>>>>>

where is the switch located?

Switch looks like a black dot or will b a stuck out black plastic plunger on hte door post mostlikley about 1/2 down hte post on hte front side toward the nose (engine) NOT the closing part or handle side...Bill

before you get to carried away spray all of your latches with carb cleaner alot of it then let it sit for 15min.then lube with something like silicone spray(not wd-40) a lot of us have had this issue including myself,it's a ford thing.
