What is that?

I was inspecting my radiators the other day and I saw what looks like a sensor of some sort on the driver side. It resembles a sparkplug in general appearance but I am all but sure it is a temperature sensor.

Can anyone tell me for sure what it is and what it does? Thanks!

Thanks. Since that isn't working I suppose I can get rid of it without concern.
