02 7.3 Powerstroke engine overhaul

Hey guys i am planning on doing a complete engine overhaul in my powerstroke this fall for no reason other than i need a project in my Diesel Technicians program and i was wandering if anybody knows where i can get a complete performance overhaul kit for my truck. i dont exactly no what all kind of performance upgrades i can do on the motor in my truck but i want to do some internal performance upgrades. in the future i plan on doing a fuel upgrade, turbo upgrade, air intake upgrade, and everything else on the outside of the engine. so i need a performance overhaul kit. thanx for all your guy's help i greatly appreciate it.

Get some forged pistons & connecting rods, ARP Head Bolts and better Headgaskets. Might as well throw on a Fass and a bigger turbo while you have it apart.

find a good rebuild kit with some mahl pistons and go from there.

2001 F-250 7.3. Garrett GTP38R ball bearing turbo, MBRP 4" exaust, muffler delete mod, Bully Dog 6 pos. chip, Edge CTS, 4" suspention lift, and moto metal 20's w/ 35/12.50/20 nitto Trail Grapplers

you can get forged rods direct from forf iirc. the rest im not sure on. and you can probably get a better deal on rods aftermarket as well.

things to add if your budget allows:
adrenaline, TE, or SRP1 HPOP
fass and/or regulated return
turbo upgrade or at least a WW, perhaps a 1.0 or 1.15 AR housing
bellowed up pipes or at least brass donuts
stage 2 injectors and a chip if you were able to afford the hpop, turbo and the needed gauges!

check ebay iv bought alot of parts from there... just read descriptions and ask the sellers questions...

I did my motor last year, I found a motorcraft kit for around 1200 dollars, it was very complete, down to the fuel system orings, every gasket on the whole truck, along with a caulking tube of gray sealer for the oil pan and intake manifolds. I put factory forged rods in it, and had it all balanced. I think I would have replaced the rods with aftermarket if I were doing it over again, as well as buying new heads, I hear you can get them for 7 something each, by the time you pay for all new valves, springs, and have some guides replaced, you are near the price of new ones. If you want me to I can try to find the link I used to buy the kit I bought? Other than that, good luck! Hope it helps you some

ok if i do the engine upgrade and all with the turbo. should i git stage 2 nozzles or the whole stage 2 injector? the next question i have is what gph fass fuel system do i need the 200 or 220 Gph system? the HD or the Titanium series? i do plan on puttin the SCT X-treme Touchscreen chip on there just dont no where i need to go with the fuel system. i am looking at the Aurora 4000 turbo from ATS as the turbo upgrade as well as a 5 in turbo back without mufler and a 18 x 8in tip. thanx for everybody's help it is much appreciated

oh and i need some advice on the air intake upgrade i plan on doing that this summer sometime before the overhaul and i want an intake upgrade that will give me everything that i can git out of it.
