When I had a fuse that kept blowing in my truck it popped one of the dash lights and I had to replace it. Maybe that's what happened with yours. You should pop the dash and replace the lights and see if that fixes the problem

My running lights on back were not working right..and the dash lights went out. AND the radio lights would go out when I stepped on the brakes...AND the blinkers would stop working when I hit the brakes...
Had a shop trace and fix the wiring to the rear (problems were in several places including under the cab at a connection!), ran new wires from under the cab, presto, everything works right now. Never touched a fuse, never changed a dash light. Fords LOVE good grounds. I mean, they LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOve good grounds. I'd check those first. |

This may be a silly question, but is your dimmer turned up?

Every once in a while mine would work right but the dash lights didn't come on.. And you checked the fuse for the dash lights? Dumb question, I know. |

yes a liscense plate socket was blowing the fuse under the hood. fixed it but i did have a 20 amp fuse in for a minute. could i have burnt something up.? and yes now everything is working perfect except my dash lights. i put my stock radio back in to see if those lights would work and they too did not. i am wondering if the switch could possibly be bad. and is there a fuse for the dashlights or does it work off of the same one as the running lights? i pulled and checked every fuse. but what fuse would it be if there is one.
thanks |

I wish I could be specific with those answers for you, however, I am in the dark on where the dash light fuse would be..the owner's manual doesn't say?
