Help stoping oil leak!!
I have an early 99 sd that i am having trouble stoping oil from leaking from the hpop area. I took an inspection mirror and traced it to the ipr sensor area. I then replaced the ipr o rings and F$@?, still leaking. The oil deffinitely runs down the solenoid body then drips onto the manifold. It is hard to see in this area, and i cant seem to track it down and i am not sure what else it could be. Has anyone had a similar problem? If so please help, oil is getting pretty exspensive

Last weekend, removed the Y pipe and related items, cleaned the valley thoroughy, reassembled, then put 3 oz (4 would probably been better) of NAPA Balknap dye in and took it for a short ride. Had to wait until dusk to really get good results from the blacklight, that's why another oz would have given a higher concentration. Anyway, the oil leaks from the bottom of the metal gasket between the HPOP and front cover, all else looked good HPOP o-rings all dry, pedestal o-rings OK, same for EBPV. The cool thing is you can almost pinpoint the leak. By the way the dye I used is $4+/- each.
