hood insultation delete?
The insulation on the underside of the hood of My X had recently ripped and is drooping a bit and I was thinking about removing it. Does it serve a purpose other than looks or sound dampening? any reason why i should replace other than remove?

Mine didn't come with one from the factory. Plenty of guys have removed them and you won't have an issue. You will notice more noise though.

I took it off and I dont know if i like it yet. Any idea what they are called if I want to buy one? I looked for one out of curiousity to see what they cost and couldnt find one...
