How can I get my 99 E350 to sing like the trucks do?
It's so frustrating to drive next to a truck and hear a crazy loud whistle. My 99 van is almost silent compared to them. What can I do to make mine sound as mean as a truck. Does anyone know why the vans are so much quieter? Thanks.

probably the tune or placement of the motor. thats my guess. im no expert.
6637 intake if it will fit. straight pipe exhaust. and your next step is probably single shot injectors. but thats pricey for sound... |

The turbos are different, too.

Vans have a smaller turbo so it will fit in the doghouse of the van cab. They are right about the exhaust and intake. You might get it to breath first and then check into what the availability is on an aftermarket compressor wheel for the E-series. I assume your looking into the whistle of the turbo???

I saw a couple post where people were putting a van turbo on their trucks. I assumed people want the van turbo cause it is larger. Is there another reason why someone would want a van turbo instead of a truck turbo?

I'm pretty sure the van turbos are smaller, and they do not have a wastegate.
