I drove a Cummins to work this morning....

YUCK, haha.

My buddy let me borrow his '04 Cummins to work this morning, as my PSD is in the shop. How depressing is this! His truck is very nice, but there are some valid differences in the 2 trucks.


Mine
2000 PSD F350 DRW CC LB 6spd.
-straight pipe, S&B CAI, Hypertech tuner
2-tone black w/ silver bottom

His
2004 Cummins 2500 SRW CC SB auto
-FBD 5" w/ muffler, S&B CAI, Edge EZ tuner
2-tone dark silver w/ light silver bottom

I can say his is DEFINATELY faster, haha, but wow, that thing sounds like a rice rocket with that I-6 and the 5" exhaust! He also has almost no smoke at all, which leads me to believe that Edge EZ setup is weaksauce on the Dodge's. Also, his back seats are TERRIBLE. I don't know who they intended on sitting in the back seats when they built them, but a full sized man ain't one of them! His truck is a little more "road civil" knocking out better mpg, and a smoother ride. The biggest thing i am impressed with is the Dodge turning radius. That thing can pull a u-turn on a dime!


Still, it's not as mean looking as my old F350 coming down the road. Mine definately has the "i'm gonna F you up" look to it rolling down the highway.

All in all, the '04 Cummins=nice truck......Just not my truck!

Matter of fact, I have such an impressive wife, she wouldn't even let me park it in the garage last night, cause "that's big bessy's spot, not some weak cummin's spot"!!

haha I told my parents before I bought my truck that i was bringing home a dodge and they asked where I was going to park it cuz I sure as heck wasnt going to park it in their driveway or yard! I was raised bleeding ford blue!

I had the edge ez on my dodge and it didnt blow much smoke but it is a heck of an improvement over stock. It is a great towing, fuel mileadge chip though.
