First Post, Looking To Buy...A Little Advise

I am looking to purchase a 7.3 (it was a PS, a Cummins or a Duramax), and I would prefer a 250, but I'll be doing a lot of hauling with it as well (trailer, lumber, general good ol truck use, but a little heavier duty then say a V8 can handle)...how much am I looking to spend when it comes to a fair price, say on a 01-03 with say 150,000 miles on it?

I was browsing craigslist and they had a few on there for about 16,000 or so...but before I started making responses to the ads, I figured I'd ask you fellas, since you guys seem to know your stuff.

Also on a 7.3 what am I looking at loaded and unloaded on MPGs?

$16,000 seems a bit too high.

I have an '01 - I get 11-12 in town, 13-14 mixed city/hwy and about 18 on the highway. 10-11 towing a 12K lb 5th wheel trailer.

depends a lot on your location. and whether or not you want a crew cab, ext, ect. TX has soem nice trucks and prices

i would say your looking at $9K to $15k depending on location and features. more if its a DMax, about the same with a cummins.
