New Guy with some questions

Hi everyone I just got a 01 Stroke a few months back. So far I have done a 4" Turbo back, 6637 Filter mod, a set of guages (Boost, EGT, Tranny Temp) and a Diablosprt Tuner. I was curious about a check engine light I get every now and then. It is normally when the truck is not fully warmed up but not cold by any means. It will come on for a few seconds while around 3/4 throttle and then go off when I let off some. I have access to plenty of scan tools at work and I never get any stored code from the SEL. Was curious if any of you guys have saw this and what you came up with.

thanks

Glad you found PSO and decided to join us.

To your issue - Haven't seen it myself. Have you tried returning the truck to stock to see if it still does it? It might be your tuner (not dissing your tuner - It just could be the way a tune is written). Just throwing it out as a suggestion.

Yeah I did switch back to stock, and still same thing. Its odd as it doesn't run diffrent while light is on. Just one of those things that bug me LOL.

I'm gonna say it has to do with the HPOP system. Maybe reading too low of a PSI for injectors.

Yeah I guess it could be. Its just odd that it doesn't do it once it is fully warmed up. Maybe time to take the scanner home with me and monitor the HPOP pressure and see what kind of shape it is in.

Oil thins out the warmer it gets so it flows easier.

99% HPOP can't keep up with the demand with split shots..very common. A SRP1 will fix that! PM if I can get you info.

Well I guess I will just leave it and just not stand it it till it is nice and warm. I am not looking to get into HPOP and all that yet. I may look at doing injectors, and a new HPOP this winter. For now it is just a daily driver and tow rig for the race car.
