First Post - Rear Diff Identification

Hey all!

Newbie here. I registered for this forum this morning and have been searching here (among other places) for several hours and can't find an answer.

I need to positively identify the rear diff under my truck as I need to upgrade the non-working LS.

Truck:
2002 F350 DRW 6Sp 7.3L Flatbed
I bought this truck used in '06 - door sticker states "incomplete build" as I think this truck was originally ordered as a cab and chassis. The Axle code on the door sticker is blank.

Axle:
Looking at the tag on the rear diff cover, this is what I see:

V2C34 YB
606773-6 LS

Looking on the Dana site, entering 606773-6, I get the following:

Spicer Part# -> 606773-6

Status Inactive

in the tech forum there is a link to a good diff decoder its proably a dana 80 if you have 3.73 gears its proab a 37 spline if you have 4.10s its proab a 35 spline look up riffraffdiesel he has been a big help to me in my situation of fixing my shot lsd in me early 99 hard to find parts but we got it, are you doing a detroit locker or a detroit tru trac?

Look on the ID tag that is on the door or the "B" pillar and see what code it says for axle.

It's 4.10 according to tags on the differential cover.

I'm going with a tru trac since I drive this truck on the road as well as tow heavy.

well it "should be a 37 spline then. but thats just an assumption check our riffraffdiesel.com he has the detroit tru trac on his page. im doing my tru trac from him and i believe mine is a 35 spline wiht 3.73 gears

Anybody else know anything about this 4.10 axle? Since I looked up one of the part numbers on the ID tag (606773-6) on the Dana website, I get the following:

But this doesn't tell me if it's an 80 or not, and whether it's a 35 or 37 spline.
