amsoil is good stuff, alot of people run it on here. I run rotella though, cheaper and the local wallmart has it in stock, and the motorcraft oil filters!

If you like the amsoil run it

thanks for the help i am just not familiar with this motor yet so far i've put the s&b intake, brv, wicked wheel, and triple isspro gauges on it and i have just ordered the adrenaline hpop, mbrp stainless dual exhaust, bully dog shift kit, bd torque convertor and and ts - 6 chip. This is why i wanted to know the best fluids to run in this truck. don't wanna have no major issues iwth it like i did my cummins before

For the short interval change: (3-5,000 miles) : Motorcraft or Rotella.
For the long interval change: (5,000+ miles) Amsoil or Mobil1 Syn. I am running the AMSOIL, I love it, made cold weather starts SOOOO much better. And the best protection availible. I'm working on a 10,000 mile change. I will be posting my Blackstone Labs results at 5,000 miles and then at 10,000 miles. |

That reminds me.... anyone have an AMSOIL sticker I can have? I could use the extra 100hp.

I'm a big fan of Rotella 5-40. It's 19.00 a gallon, works great, starts smoother, makes the engine very happy. I would recommend no matter what going with a 5-40. I'm not an Amzoil guy at all, I recommend getting good mobil synth for the diffs, etc and rotella in the motor. Blackstone results are always great with a good TBN even after 5,000 miles.
