What to look for when buying a used 7.3

Hey guys im New on the forum. Sorry if this topic's been covered but i might be picking up a 99 F350 7.3 tmrw. im just wondering what are some things i should look for or check out? it only has 88,000 miles on it. frames solid and all around pretty clean but what else shoudl i look for? thanks a lot!

^^What he said. I usually look for rust on the bottom lips of the doors, the bottom lip of the tailgate but that depends where you live and if you are worried about exterior rust. Look for uneven tire wear - this is a sign for bad balljoints, etc. Otherwise, the list Marty put together is a good reference.

since its a 99, check the build date, probably in the door frame. there is an early 99 model that isnt quite equivalent to the late 99 model. nothing wrong with it iirc, just down on power in comparison and some differnt parts.

I think a lot of people hate this guy for some reason but the series for buying a used truck seems to be pretty helpful.

he has useful information. many people disagree with a few of his theories. as well as me on the top oil issue. but in any case, he has expirience that i dont.
