Duralast gold batteries

Sorry if this is the wrong forum, I have two that died and are still under the 3 year free replacement warranty. Problem is im not the original owner. Should I take a chance and see if they catch it, if they do try another auto zone? Had the truck almost 2 years, no idea if the guy I got it from still even lives around here. Anyone know how the duralast warranty process works? I know the guy I bought it from first name.

Hell I would give it a try, whats the worst that can happen... they say no? If they ask for your phone number or whatever, just say something like you had a small mechanic put them in, but you dont want to deal with him. I dont know. Really nothing to lose, a warranty is a warranty... but at least you will know if you need to pay or not.

i get 2 new duralast gold batteries every year under warranty you should be fine just raise hell they'll give in

take em back and give it a try. that very thing happened to me after i bought mine. batteries clearly stated "free 3 year replacement guarantee". my batteries were 34 months old.

they replaced em no questions asked, but that was wal mart..

Ill tell you what to do because it happened to me: find out the name, adress or phone number that the warranty is under and then go in with the batteries. Autozone doesnt care as long as you can verify the warranty. They dont like to replace batteries without testing them though. If you cant find the name or phone number they can get the warranty if you know which store it was bought at.

Thanks for the replys gonna try it today, hopefully he did get them at auto zone or they can tell me where he got them atleast.

Got shot down at the first auto zone, I had all the info but they warranty is apparently not under his name. They said I could try back when the manager was there tomorrow morning. Tried to call the previous owner to find out who the warranty was under and number is disconnected.
