Compund Super/Turbocharger
So I there I was sitting in my living room drinking a beer and the thought came to me about adding a supercharger to my 03 7.3 to aid in off idle boost. I know that some people have used the Centrifugal supercharger, but has anyone used a Lysholm/Whipple/Kenn Bell type? They build the boost lower than the Centrifugal type does and are the most efficient of all of the "roots" style blowers. I would think that the 7.3 would be a good candidate for it as it has a fairly basic intake manifold set up and a very open "lifter valley". I for one would like to do this if for no other reason than to say I did and aid in towing power.

the HPOP would be your big obstacle with mounting a roots style supercharger.
