Hi, Been lurking for a while, finally bought a PSD! 2003 125,000miles, mint condition, came with all service records etc.....anyways, what I want to know is:
It has a Gryphon tuner in it....is there a way to find out which tunes are in it??
I currently have it set to 3, which according to the "Edge" manual that came with it, is 100hp tune, but thats the stock edge.......
Will I cause any damage running it on 3 all the time, even towing? My EGTs have never hit more then 900 in the few days I've had it, but I haven't towed anything..........Please let me know.
Its got a 4" straight pipe exhaust, AFE cold air intake, Banks intercooler, banks exahaust brake........
Also if anyone knows how to use the exhaust brake properly it would be appreciated

Welcome newbie. You could probably contact PHP to find out what tunes are on the chip. If you're towing lightly, tow in whatever setting you want, as long as your EGTs are in check. For the exhaust brake, there should be a switch in the cab to activate it.

How do I get a hold of PHP? What is php?

PHP is Power Hungry Performance, they're in the vendors section on here. Sometimes hard to reach by phone, though I have unusually good luck.

find out what tunes they are before pulling in them. and talk with PHP about the tunes and what not to do.
