Looking at a 2000 F350

Found a 2000 F350 83xxx miles for a decent price but needs some work but skeptical on it due to the picture doesnt exactly match the truck for a 2000. The work that is described is he said an injector is bad. Which one idk yet I have yet to get ahold of him but, is there anything else i really need to be aware of when looking to buy this rig? Thanks and heres the link to it.

I would take it to a GOOD diesel mechanic, (NOT the owner's mechanic) and have them take a look at it and run the codes.... If it's def. only 1 injector, I'd get a quote from the mechanic and have the seller take it off the price...at least use it as a tool to lower the price. If thats all thats wrong, I'd say thats a hell of a deal, tho! What do you mean the pic doesn't match the truck???

I'd say that the Pic matches a 2000. Same grill and powerstroke door badges that come on the 7.3's.

Well I noticed all the same stuff on the truck except for the headlights threw me. As far as my knowledge reached I didnt think they made the entire headlight clear in that year I thought there was an amber strip over the turn signal? Or did they make both then? Thanks for the replies

Not sure - could be that the owner replaced the old headlights with a newer model headlight. A lot of people do that with their trucks because the newer head lights look good.

Looks like a good deal to me...I won't even tell you what I paid. I could have flown to AK and drove it back for less than I just paid for the SB version of that truck. To boot, I am having nothing but problems.

A sucker is born every minute. I guess I was the one that minute ... LOL

Alright, Im starting to think that possibly it is just a bad injector o-ring. What Ive searched and what the guy describes with the misfire, it could possibly just be an o-ring? Which it is 11 years old and only has 83000 miles on it. So that kind spells out that is sits around alot, and due to the overall good looking condition of the truck also.
