idm's swapping
Will an idm from a van work in a truck? Will it if its a 96 or 97 van work in a superduty. i have a friend whose truck broke down and i know where a 97 or so van is thats not on the road. If so where is it located in the van?

It should be on the inner fender on the drivers side. You will have to remove the inner fender liner to get it. Just upgraded mine in my F350 last weekend.

I dont recall seeing it anywhere on any of our ambulances so I assume it is on the inner fender. I'll make a call and find out. What year van?

It's not my post but I bought Beans Performance Diesel's IDM upgrade. It's reprogramed to send 140v to your injectors instead of the 110-120v as the stock IDM does. I have a faster start and alot more throttle response. It is said to increase you 15-30 hp. It is on sale for $100 with a $400 core return. I am thrilled with mine.
