I've been lying. Because I've been lied to. I was told When I bought the truck it had the original trans. Of course I didnt know what to look for but fortunately this helped me bargain for a lower price so now I working on finding a way to contact the P.O. and find out some info about it. I'm a little upset. It's just a Jasper not even the monster box . Still shifts strong and everything, but I've heard some bad things as well as some good things about this company. Like playing the lotto when buying stuff from em. I called em and they told me it was installed in october of 2007... the truck was traded in in march 2010. Now based on the trade in mileage of the truck (374k and change), as well as the number of months owned (Aug 1998 to March 2010), thats a rough estimate of 2700 miles a month. So using that estimate, I'm gonna say there are 78k miles on this trans (when i bought it), and the original e99 trans died at 296k (doesn't sound too bad...) So about 88k on it now.

What is a good way to get a bearing on the health of this thang? At 385k I was expecting the original trans to go at any minute... now I wondering what to do... Sell this to get my zf6? and for how much? or should I try to kill it?

Theres no doubt this truck was well taken care of (other than the front seats the interior was immaculate, and all my oil analylis' have been awesome) so I'm wondering what I should do.

Oh no I meant keep the trans. I plan on selling the trans. I'd do VB and TC if I was gonna keep it a auto. But I wanna put a zf6 in it. It's only a matter of time till that happens. The truck stays either way. too attached to sell now
