Help me diagnose my WINDOW tracking

The passenger window shudders when it goes up. I took the panel off and greased (lithium grease) the track and there's not much change.

Where the slide reaches it's farthest point, then reversed direction, is when the shudder happens.

Is there a simple fix, or what needs to be replaced?

I am having the same issues, the windows go down half way then the last half they either crawl and shutter or don't go at all. I then gently push and they go down with a nudge. Coming back up the passenger side shutters but the drivers doesn't. They both go up like they are suppose to for power and speed.

have you lubed the tracks to eliminate binding as a cause?

sounds like its time to change them... Plastic parts in tracks and too much play or try cleaning where the glass rides in the rubber seal..

Are those plastic slides available by themselves, or does the whole mechanism need to be replaced as a unit?

Mine was dong the same thing. New motors (cheapos from Rock Auto) and lubing the metal tracks with regular ole grease did the trick.

What are symptoms of a failing motor, and what does a bad regulator do to the operation?

Is it best to just change out both motor and regulator as a unit?

One window of mine was getting sluggish about halfway down, and the other wouldn't work at times, even though it was getting power. I don't think you can replace the regulators, just the motor/gearbox combo. I bought both of mine from Rockauto, total bill shipped was right at $50.
