Android Smart phone app. Torque scan tool anyone know about this?

Here are the links.

here is the app.
Torque OBD 2 engine diagnostics — Torque

here is a bluetooth obd2 adaptor
Amazon.com: XITECH ELM327 BLUETOOTH OBDII OBD2 DIAGNOSTIC SCANNER CAN ELM 327 SCANTOOL CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAR CODE READER: Electronics Amazon.com: XITECH ELM327 BLUETOOTH OBDII OBD2 DIAGNOSTIC SCANNER CAN ELM 327 SCANTOOL CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAR CODE READER: Electronics

So it looks like we can monitor, scan, check and clear codes with this. all with a cell phone app?!!?
Wow if this works with my 2002 7.3 im buying one. I have to do more research I will report back soon.

I have it and I think its a great tool, not so much a monitor. It will give u 0-60 est. HP and several other values. I have used it on a few other vehicles to check engine codes. It works great for that it will even link u to a website to find out what each code means. You can also clear codes with it. The boost gauge is way off, and if u go to a certain screen it will stall Ur truck out( had it happen while I was driving ). So be careful I believe it was the "fuel trim" or something like that.

Dirtguy. You have used this on a 7.3? I was more interested in it as a scan tool. It would be handy to have it all built into the phone and justs wireless obd2 jack.

I'm sure it's a "Generic" scanner and, you know, they don't work on our trucks.... - right?

There's probably a post a week with someone saying something like "It's not running right, CEL is ON, but there are no codes present". Becase they either took it to AutoZone or have an OBD-II scanner and neither will properly scan for us.

I'm afraid there's no "cheap" way to get the right scanner. If it's not going to do a good scan AND it's not much of a monitor, Forget it!

What is the right scanner for our trucks? I just saw this app for my phone and figured I would not have a problem with it. Thanks for the info.
