Alarm system for our diesels
I'm looking for an alarm system for my truck. I know nothing about them, that is why I am posting on here looking for advice. Just wanting what is a good system and what you think of the system if you actually own it. I don't live in anything close to a bad neighborhood, just been having some weird dreams that have me worried lol.

Viper 5901 (or newer).
Love mine. Remote start is nice too. Also put the rear door handles on the front. Shawn |

I was going to put the rear door handles on mine but 80% of the time, my locks stick ad I have to open it with a key so that wouldn't turn out too good lol.

Any other opinions?

You may want to look into this option, will not keep them out of your truck but will keep if from being driven off into the night ( or Day )

Had a Ravelco installed Monday on my truck. So far no test by a thug,
but it does seem to work since my remote start is useless unless it is plugged in. Shawn |

Anyone want to let me in on the price for it? I would possibly be interested in it as long as the price isnt above my budget.

x3 on Ravelco!!
I just paid $425, but I think prices are dif. depending on location. Now I can actually go to a store and not have to worry about my truck being gone when I come out. Alarms do nothing for a seasoned car thief. |

Now my alarm keeps messing up and will not always lock/unlock the truck. It always deactivates the alarm and once i get the door open the lock/unlock button on the door works flawlessly. I just ordered the 5901 and will have a friend install it for me. We are going to try and get the remote start tied into the tach wire behind the gauge cluster. I'll update with my results. I also read that we need a diode to keep my battery from draining. |
