Questions about tuner power settings
Being new to diesel pickups (only experience has been with semi's), what is the difference between a 25/40HP "extreme towing" setting and a 120HP "race" setting? I'm assuming the towing setting is more for low end torque and doesn't need much horsepower, vs the race setting which is more top end power.
Someone care to educate me? |

And how does an "anti-theft" program in a chip work?

hey welcome... well one in performance/ race settings the EGT's can climb fast, and the shifting is aggressive.. and the tow tunes have firm shifts and yes you use less power, keeps things cooler.. that being said i've towed in a 'performance' tune lightly. but not anything over 5k and not up steep grade. just common sense stuff.
and oh btw the anti theft just keeps the truck from starting if you leave it on that position, dunno what they use but its pretty simple ha. |
