79 on a 01 frame

I have a good 01 frame and running gear and I was thinking of putting a 79 cc lb on the frame. I just wanted to know if anyone has done this. Anything will help let me know.
thank you

As my buddy said as he picked up the torch to put an S-10 body on a M37 Powerwagon frame, "It ALL FITS!!!" Not sure how the frame contours might have changed from the ol the new, but it would be a cool project... take pictures!!! I'd be you'll be custom makein' all your body mounts... assume you would have a 7.3L PSD under the hood, getting gauges to work would take some brainstorming... new dash in old cab? Wiring? Have fun... bring your thinging cap, your buddys and some beer to the garage you will be spending the next few months in... and like I said, take pictures!

Great idea. Go for it. I had a '79 F250 4x4 ECLB with the 400m years ago and loved how comfortable the cab was. All the head room made me feel short even at 6'2". Go for it, show us pics.
